I’m SO excited to tell you all about paddle boarding! I just got back from my first ever paddle boarding adventure and it was amazing. Paddle Boarding is a Great Workout
One of the best things about paddle boarding is that it’s a great workout! You use a lot of muscles when you paddle including your quads, glutes, arms, and core. And since you’re constantly adjusting your balance, you’re also working on your proprioception (the sense of where your body parts are in space). That means that not only are you getting a great workout, but you’re also improving your balance and coordination. Paddle boarding is a low-impact workout which makes it perfect for people of all ages and fitness levels.
Paddle Boarding is Relaxing
Even though it’s a great workout, paddle boarding is also incredibly relaxing. There’s something about being out on the water that just calms the mind and soothes the soul. For me, being on a paddle board is the perfect combination of being in nature and getting some exercise. It’s the perfect way to reduce stress and recharge your batteries.
Paddle Boarding is Fun!
Of course, the most important reason to try paddle boarding is because it’s just plain old fun! Even if you don’t consider yourself an “outdoorsy" person, I think you’ll find that paddle boarding is surprisingly addictive. Once you get the hang of it, you won’t be able to resist going out for another paddle boarding adventure. Trust me, you won’t regret giving it a try!
